Funeral live streaming questions
Can a funeral be live streamed?
Yes. We speak to the venue and the funeral director beforehand to agree where the camera will stand and to check that filming is permitted.
Can you watch a funeral live stream later?
Yes. The recording stays on the same private link for at least 12 months, and often up to 5 years, and you can download it at any time. We recommend saving a copy as soon as you receive it. People in other time zones often watch the following day.
How much does it cost to live stream a funeral in the UK?
With us, £595 for one location and £180 for each additional location, including travel within the M25 and the South East.
What if the church or crematorium has no wifi?
We do not use venue wifi. We bring six bonded 4G connections, which work in almost every location, including gravesides.
Is the live stream private?
Yes. Only people with your link can watch. You decide who receives it.
Why not use Zoom or a phone?
A phone picks up the room, not the speaker, and depends on a single mobile signal. We use a broadcast camera on a tripod, a microphone on each speaker and six connections at once. Your guests also do not need an account or an app.
How many people can watch?
As many as you like. There is no viewer limit and no charge per viewer.
Will the camera be noticeable?
Rarely. We set up before guests arrive, stay in one place and work silently. Many families tell us afterwards they forgot we were there.
How much notice do you need?
Less than you might think. We are sometimes booked just 24 hours before a funeral. If the date is close, call or WhatsApp 07939 292839 and we will tell you straight away whether we can do it.
What happens if the live stream breaks?
It is rare, because six connections carry the stream at once. The camera also records the whole service independently. If a stream is ever interrupted, we replace it on your viewing page with the in-camera recording within 12 hours, so nobody misses the service.
