Freelance Videographers Wanted – Funeral Live Streaming

We are a professional videography business specialising in funeral live streaming, and we are looking to expand our team with skilled freelance videographers. We provide all streaming infrastructure, including a hardware encoder, modems with sufficient data plans, and online hosting. Your role is to capture the funeral service beautifully and discreetly, whether in a church, crematorium or at the graveside.

How It Works:

  • We will send you a job brief (location, key people, transport details, etc.).
  • You will arrive 90 minutes before the funeral to set up and introduce yourself to the clients, officiant (priest, vicar, rabbi, imam, celebrant, etc.), and other suppliers involved.
  • You will place a microphone at the lectern and ask the officiant to wear a lapel mic.
  • You will start the live stream 15 minutes before the service begins.
  • You will record the service internally as a backup.
  • After the funeral, you will send us an MP4 file (typically around 5GB) via Google Drive, WeTransfer, or a similar service.

What We’re Looking For:

  • An independent and proactive videographer.
  • A strong communicator who can liaise professionally with clients, officiants, and other suppliers.
  • Reliable, punctual, and well-presented at all times.
  • Tech-savvy, with the ability to produce professional-quality video and sound.

Equipment Requirements:

  • A video camera with at least 15x zoom (DSLRs are generally not suitable; camcorders are preferred).
  • Wireless microphones for the lectern and officiant, with sufficient transmission range to reach the back of a church.
  • Room mic for hymns etc
  • A lightweight tripod for easy mobility.
  • Your own transport (car required).

What We Offer:

  • £200 per job (funeral services typically last around 1 hour; this rate includes travel costs)
  • Payment within 48 hours.
  • We provide all streaming infrastructure—you’ll receive a pre-configured bag of hardware; all you need to do is connect it to your rig and press start

How to Apply:

  • Please email info@funeralmemories.co.uk with:
  • A brief paragraph about yourself.
  • Your event video portfolio.
  • A list of your gear.
  • Your location and the area you’d like to cover (e.g., a county or postcode range—please note that additional travel expenses are not covered)

What Happens Next?

  • We will contact you for an initial Zoom chat.
  • If selected, you will receive on-the-job training (we will accompany you on three jobs).
  • You will receive all necessary transmission gear from us (this remains our property).

We look forward to hearing from you.
